Extending A Helping Hand: Dunya Foundation’s Flood Relief Mission
At Dunya Foundation, we believe in standing by communities during times of need and providing support during natural disasters. Recently, devastating floods wreaked havoc in various areas of Balochistan, causing immense hardship for residents. In response to this crisis, Dunya Foundation swiftly launched a series of flood relief missions, delivering essential aid to the affected regions. Through our collaboration with the Balochistan Youth Action Committee (BYAC), we made a positive difference in the lives of those affected by the floods.
Understanding the urgency and magnitude of the situation, Dunya Foundation allocated a substantial budget of PKR 8.6 million to support flood relief efforts. This significant investment enabled us to procure and distribute essential items such as food supplies, clean drinking water, hygiene kits, blankets, and shelter materials to those who had lost their homes and belongings.
From September to November 2022, Dunya Foundation coordinated multiple shipments of relief supplies to severely affected areas. These shipments reached communities in Lehri, Sibi, Dera Muraad Jamali, Usta Muhammad, Naseerabad, Kallat, and several goths in Balochistan. Communities struggling to recover from the aftermath of the devastating floods identified these regions as the most impacted.
The flood relief missions undertaken by Dunya Foundation, in collaboration with BYAC, exhibit our unwavering commitment to the well-being and resilience of communities in times of crisis. We remain steadfast in our mission to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and communities, especially during their most vulnerable moments.
