Celebrating the Spirit of Independence at Dunya Foundation
Dunya Foundation celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with great enthusiasm and national pride at its Head Office. The celebration brought together colleagues to reflect on the sacrifices behind Pakistan’s creation, celebrate the country’s rich cultural diversity, and acknowledge the collective journey towards building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
The office was beautifully decorated in green and white, creating a festive atmosphere that reflected the spirit of 14th August. The celebration was designed not only as a tribute to Pakistan’s independence but also as an opportunity to revisit the country’s history and celebrate its progress.
A special video highlighting the struggles and sacrifices before and after Partition was prepared and screened during the event. The presentation took everyone through the challenges faced by the people of the subcontinent, the sacrifices made for the creation of Pakistan, and the journey of the nation in the years that followed. It served as a powerful reminder of the resilience, determination, and vision that led to the creation of an independent homeland.
The cultural diversity of Pakistan was also beautifully represented through creative models depicting the country’s provinces. Children from Ideal Muslim School dressed in traditional attire representing different regions, adding colour and vibrancy to the celebration. Their participation highlighted the unity that exists within Pakistan’s diverse cultures, traditions, and identities.
The event also reflected on the evolution and contribution of Punjab Group and Dunya Foundation. From their respective journeys of growth to their continued efforts in education, healthcare, skills development, livelihood generation, and community empowerment, the discussion highlighted their contribution towards the development of Pakistan and its people.
The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of pride and responsibility. As we celebrate the freedom achieved through immense sacrifices, we also recognise the role each one of us can play in shaping Pakistan’s future.
