Building Better Classrooms: BOPPPS Teacher Training Workshop by Dunya Foundation

What makes a good lesson?

This essential question guided the recent Instructional Skills Workshop organized by Dunya Foundation for teachers across its school network. The workshop aimed to strengthen lesson planning and delivery using evidence-based teaching strategies.

Facilitated by Joham Aziz, PhD, Research Scholar at the University of Bristol, the session focused on the BOPPPS teaching framework, a structured model that stands for Bridge-in, Objective, Pre-assessment, Participatory Learning, Post-assessment, and Summary.

The BOPPPS model equips teachers to create lessons that are clear, interactive, and outcome-driven. Through practical examples and collaborative activities, participating teachers explored how to align their planning with each component of the model.
