Capacity Building for Compliance: Dunya Foundation at PCP Training
Dunya Foundation recently participated in a two-day capacity-building training titled Federal and Provincial Regulatory Landscape for NPOs, organized by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP). The training brought together representatives from various nonprofit organizations, focusing on strengthening their understanding of regulatory compliance, governance, and taxation frameworks relevant to the nonprofit sector in Pakistan.
The sessions provided practical insights into federal and provincial regulatory requirements, highlighting real on-ground challenges faced by NPOs and the application of rules in organizational settings. A key session was conducted by Mr. Naveed Yousaf, who shared hands-on perspectives on regulatory processes and common compliance issues. The training was further enriched by Ms. Rabia Shah, Commissioner Inland Revenue (CTO Lahore), who shared her experience and guidance on nonprofit sector tax implications and compliance.
Dunya Foundation was represented at the training by Hussam Raza, Head of Programs, and Abubaker Ayub, Assistant Manager Finance, reflecting the organization’s commitment to continuous learning and institutional strengthening. Participation in such forums helps our team stay informed about evolving regulations and reinforces best practices in governance, financial transparency, and compliance.
At Dunya Foundation, we believe that strong institutional systems and regulatory awareness are essential to delivering responsible and sustainable impact. Learning opportunities like these enable our team to operate with greater clarity and accountability while continuing to serve communities effectively.
